Imagine Yourself

Mental health training to help us all develop our capacity to thrive.

This program was conceived during Michael Ballard’s 7-year battle with 2 bouts of cancer and three fights for his life. Then use what he’d learn to assist his then 7-year-old daughter deal with a brain tumour and treatment. At the time he could not believe there was no skill-based programming to help us be challenged by life’s BIGStuff events.

The goal of the Imagine Yourself program is to assist people of all ages, children and family’s, students and schools, staff and organizations and communities gain the mastery to cope and thrive despite the overwhelming issues we all face in life.

The program includes easy to understand model using:

  • Colour, numbers, and language to assist with learning, retention and use.
  • Mindset and language to assist, reduce, eliminate judgment, and assist with healthy engagement with self and others.
  • Key skills to assist participants to develop the ability to keep or change their state of being.
ie. To reduce test anxiety, a trip to the dentist, dealing with the stress and trauma due to the loss of a loved one, a change in health status and all of the other issues life can bring us.

learned during his seven-year journey through three major fights to live and dealing with two chronic health issues. This taught him that mindset, skills and engagement with others always lead to healthier options and outcomes.

Michael has shared the platform with such notables as Ken Blanchard, author of The One Minute Manager. His speaking and consulting engagements have seen him be a guest lecturer at IBM Canada, The Government of Singapore First Responders Group, Patient Education Night at Mount Sinai Hospital, and Friday at Four lecture series at the Dalhousie University.

With 100’s of interviews to date, Michael is very open to engaging with media to share his uplifting message of resilience.
